Öz
Sencer Divitçioğlu, Türk iktisadi düşünce tarihine ilk önce iktisatçı, daha sonra tarihçi ve antropolog sıfatlarıyla katkılar sunmuştur. Ancak akademik kariyeri boyunca farklı sıfatlar edinmişse de asıl kalkış noktası iktisattır. Çünkü iktisat teorisinden elde ettiği analitik akıl yürütmeyi, tarihe ve antropolojiye uygulamıştır. İktisat teorisinden elde ettiği analitik akıl yürütmeyi hiçbir vakit terk etmemiş, bilakis onları tarih ve antropolojiye uygulayarak iktisattan tarihe uzanan aynı mantıksal-formel modellemeyi muhafaza etmiştir. Bu da düşüncesine büyük oranda bir kısıt getirmiştir. Söz konusu kısıt nedeniyle iktisat biliminin standart sınırlarını aşan bir kamusal entelektüel olmamıştır. Aynı zamanda Divitçioğlu özelinde görülen bu durum, 1945 sonrası ana akım iktisat biliminin diğer sosyal bilimlere yayılımı olarak nitelendirilen metodolojik emperyalizmin uygulama türüne örnek teşkil etmektir.

‘Native’ Interpretation of Methodological Imperialism: The Analytical Economics Approach of Sencer Divitçioğlu
Abstract
Sencer Divitçioğlu made contributions to the history of Turkish economic thought first as an economist, then as a historian and an anthropologist. However, although he has acquired different attributes throughout his academic career, his main starting point is economics. Because he applied analytical reasoning from economic theory to history and anthropology. He never abandoned the analytical reasoning he derived from economic theory, but applied them to history and anthropology, preserving the same logical-formal modeling from economics to history. This put a great deal of restraint on his thinking. Due to this restraint, there has not been a public intellectual who has exceeded the standard limits of economics. Meanwhile, this situation, which is recognized in the case of Divitçioğlu, is an example of the practice of methodological imperialism, which is characterized as the spread of mainstream economics to other social sciences after 1945.
