Öz
Kemalizm, sekülerleşme ve uluslaşma sürecinde benimsenen yöntemlerin ve eylemlerin resmî ideolojisidir. Genel itibariyle Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün düşünceleri ile erken Cumhuriyet dönemi uygulama pratiklerine dayanan Kemalizm yeni bir ülkede yeni bir insan ve toplum inşa etme sisteminin tezahürüdür. Kalıplaşmış bir inanç sistemi olmaktan ziyade kavramın esnek, dinamik ve eklektik yapısı onu sürekli yorumlanabilir ve yeniden ele alınabilir kılmaktadır. Kavramın bu nevi kullanımı 1960’lı yılların aydınlarından Doğan Avcıoğlu tarafından Devrim Gazetesi özelinde gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu minvalde mevcut çalışmanın amacı Doğan Avcıoğlu’nun anlam dünyasında Kemalizm’in nasıl yorumlandığının ortaya konulmasıdır. Bahse
konu amaç doğrultusunda Avcıoğlu’nun Devrim Gazetesi’ndeki yazıları incelenmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışma yöntembilimsel olarak gömülü teori yaklaşımı benimsenerek desenlenmiştir. Bahse konu teori ile eş güdümlü kullanılan sürekli karşılaştırma
yöntemi ise veri analiz metodu olarak belirlenmiştir. Yapılan analizler neticesinde Doğan Avcıoğlu’nun Kemalizm’i sol bir perspektifle yorumladığı ve onu hasım güçler ile müttefik güçler metaforu ekseninde inşa etmekte olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

An Intellectual Attempt in the Reconstruction of Kemalism: A Study on the Articles of Doğan Avcıoğlu in Devrim Newspaper
Abstract
Kemalism is the official ideology of the methods and actions adopted in the process of secularization and nationalization. Kemalism, which is generally based on the thoughts of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the practices of the early Republican period, is the manifestation of a system of constructing a new person and society in a new country. The flexible, dynamic, and eclectic structure of the concept, rather than being a stereotyped belief system, makes it constantly interpretable and reexaminable. This kind of use of the concept is carried out by Doğan Avcıoğlu, one of the intellectuals of the 1960s, specifically within Devrim Newspaper. In this context, the aim of the present study is to reveal how Kemalism was interpreted in Doğan Avcıoğlu’s world of meaning. In accordance with the aforementioned purpose, Avcıoğlu’s articles in Devrim Newspaper were examined. The study is methodologically designed by the grounded theory approach. The constant comparison method, which is used in conjunction with the theory in question, was determined as the data analysis method. As a result of the analyses performed, it
was concluded that Doğan Avcıoğlu interpreted Kemalism from a leftist perspective and built it on the axis of the metaphor of opposing forces and allied powers.
