Öz
Bilim felsefesinde (özellikle çağdaş analitik bilim felsefesinde) kabaca iki farklı nedensellik modeli vardır: Yeni Humecu görüş ve Yeni Aristotelesci görüş. Böyle bir ayrımın arka planında şüphesiz David Hume’un nedensellik ilişkisine yönelik yapmış olduğu çığır açıcı açıklamalar yer almaktadır. Öyle ki, değinilen görüşlerden ilki, Hume’un nedensellik ilişkisine yönelik düşüncelerine dayanır. İkincisi ise Hume’un düşüncelerinin karşısında konumlanır. Ve çoğunlukla Aristoteles’in nedensellik ilişkisi hakkındaki düşüncelerine dayanır.

Two Models in The Contemporary Causality Approach: The Neo-Humean View and The Neo-Aristotelian View

Abstract
There are roughly two different models of causality in the philosophy of science (especially in the contemporary analytical philosophy of science): the Neo-Humean view and the Neo-Aristotelian view. There is no doubt that the background of such
a distinction is David Hume’s groundbreaking statements about the relationship of causality. So much so that the first of the views mentioned is based on Hume’s thoughts on the relationship of causality. The second is positioned opposite Hume’s thoughts. And mostly it is based on Aristotle’s ideas about the relationship of causality. Whether defended or criticized, Hume’s causality analysis is an important road map for contemporary causality analysis. We will construct our work on this road map. We will then examine the arguments of both views. We will also argue that the arguments contained in the Neo-Aristotelian view are more coherent and functional.

Keywords: Hume, Regularities, Counterfactualty, Causal Power, Dispositional Causation.
